During the COVID-19 pandemic, she transitioned from the ICU to a COVID-19 Center (Providence Sierra Campus in El Paso TX) and St. Elizabeth Hospital IL, providing care to patients stricken by the virus. Currently Angela works at the University of Kansas Hospital.
During her 25 years of experience in healthcare, Angela has witnessed firsthand how poverty, lack of preventive care education, and limited access to healthcare impacts vulnerable populations. High volumes of patients present to the hospital at the critical phase of the disease due to lack healthcare services. Angela's passion is to connect with community stakeholders to work on health care awareness at the community level to improve healthcare outcomes in our communities.
Angela’s main goal is to play an integral role in leveraging community consultants, experts, and stakeholders to provide holistic care and sustainable services to alleviate health disparities in the US and globally.
